You'll provide guidance on legal issues, manage proposal preparations, and interface with key internal and external stakeholders. As a senior member of the team, you'll have the chance to mentor junior staff and drive process improvements that enhance department performance.
In this position, you will be the go-to expert for navigating complex contractual matters, including risk assessment, intellectual property, and data rights, while managing domestic and international projects. What YOU Will Do:
- Drafts, generates, interprets and manages large, complex contracts in accordance with internal and external customer schedules and requests, to ensure these documents properly reflect business objectives
- Independently supports the Program Team to coordinate input during the proposal and contract process
- Manages the analysis and preparation of contract documentation to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
- Coaches and guides junior professionals and reviews their work to ensure output is of quality and in accordance with business objectives
- Leads proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to ensure contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
- Manages complex contracts
- Advises and represents the Program Team on contractual matters
- Creates proposals, negotiates and executes contracts
- Maintains historical contract records

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Master of Business Administration or Juris Doctorate
- Extensive experience with U.S. Government contracts, including FAR and DFARS
- Currently hold, or have the ability to obtain, a United States Government Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance
