Project Engineer Intern - Princeton, Illinois
As an Allegion Project Engineering Intern, you will contribute meaningful work and make a direct impact to the Process Innovation Team. You will gain valuable experience working in a fast-paced production environment, working with the latest technologies and helping to improve Allegion’s overall production process. Core opportunities include project engineering/management exposure, collaboration with key focus teams & pioneering new technologies.

What You Will Do:
Support Capital project development, execution & sustainability
Manage technical and administrative aspects of capital projects
Act as main point of contact for selected vendors & contractors
Manage required internal resources to support project execution
Evaluate, track and report out on project status & objectives
Develop & drive project plans to deliver results on time & on target
Develop robust and sustainable TPM plans to maximize equipment potential & longevity
Manage project budgets in concert with monthly expense reporting
Exhibit detailed critical thinking skills for complex problem resolution
Exposure to Capital Project planning
Annual Operating Plan (AOP) development
Business Cases (BC) & Capital Expenditure Requests (CER) development
Evaluate Return on Investment (ROI) for new assets
Write specification documents for new equipment based on cost, delivery, quality & people
Perform tasks in a timely and accurate manner
May perform other duties as assigned and extend into other areas as needed

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, schedules, rules, procedures, etc.
Fluent in Microsoft programs for data analysis, report generation, project management, etc.
Strong critical thinking skills
Strong problem-solving skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to demonstrate manual dexterity; ability to use fingers and hands to feel, handle, or squeeze; reach with hands and arms; twist/turn body; perform repetitive motions
Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit, frequently and for extended periods of time
Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
Ability to frequently lift up to 5 pounds, occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, and rarely lift up to 60 pounds. Any lifts over 35 pounds should be done with assistance.
MECHANICAL REQUIREMENTS
