Wieland is hiring a Machine Operator. The Machine Operator will be responsible for machine operation and product quality while also assisting with overall warehouse operations as needed.

This role is located in Texas City, TX and will be fully on-site. 

 

Starting Pay:  $19 per hour

Schedule: Monday- Friday (8am- 5pm)

 

Responsibilities

Machine Operator Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain a safe organized working environment
• Operate machinery in a safe manner to ensure quality product
• Inspect material before and after operation for imperfections
• Load and unload product from the machinery for processing
• Assist in reviewing incoming shipping documents and inventory
• Assist in reviewing outgoing shipping documents and product
• Inspect inventory and product orders for accuracy
• Report product discrepancies to management
• Actively communicate with teammates
• Operate forklifts to relocate material
• Other Operations tasks as assigned

Machine Operator Qualifications:

• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail (critical skill)
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers and management
• Ability to work as part of a team and offer assistance to teammates when necessary
• Ability to work flexible hours as required by the position
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of manufacturing industries preferred
• Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds
• Standing, walking up to 8 hours
• Twisting, bending up to 4 hours
• Operation of sit-down/stand-up lift
