We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join the Nebel Street Animal Hospital family!

Nebel Street Animal Hospital is located in the heart of North Bethesda, MD. We are a busy 2+ doctor general practice. We offer wellness and comprehensive care. We do a range of surgical procedures and dentistry. We also provide holistic care, including herbal medicine, acupuncture, and cold laser therapy. We have a great work culture and are looking to expand our team!

Location: Nebel Street Animal Hospital - 12100 Nebel St. Rockville, MD 20852

Reports To: Practice Manager

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00/Hr

Schedule: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)

Veterinary Technician Job Summary:

Under direction of the Practice Manager, Medical director, and Associate Veterinarians, credentialed technicians perform a wide range of tasks while providing high quality patient care and excellent customer service. These activities include, but are not limited to, outpatient care, assisting with surgical and dental procedures, medical record keeping, maintaining cleanliness of facility, restocking supplies, client communication, and client education.

An ideal candidate has the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

· Upholds the Veterinary Technician code of ethics

· Supports Mission, Vision and Values of Destination Pet

· Exhibit professionalism, accountability, dependability, and integrity at all times

· Maintains confidentiality

· Customer service centric

· Good oral and written communication skills

· Self-motivated

· Detail oriented

· Advocate for each patient in regard to: preventive care, pain management, anxiety & stress

· Ability to professionally deal with high levels of stress in an environment with changing priorities

· Strong medical and technical skills

· Desire to grow the profession through continued education and mentorship

· Professional mannerisms and appearance

· Uphold Destination Pet policies and procedures

· Pet obsessed

Expertise & Experience:

· Credentialed in the state of Maryland

· Graduation from an AVMA accredited school

· Passed the VTNE

· Maintain Credentials per Maryland's Practice Act

· 1+ year experience as a veterinary technician preferred. However, newly licensed technicians are also encouraged to apply
