Accountant

<p> </p> <p>Our client is an international organization based in Zaventem, supporting operations across Europe in sectors such as automotive, industrial, energy, and materials.</p> <p>As a Finance &amp; Accounting Specialist, you will support day-to-day accounting activities, month-end closings, reporting processes, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives while working closely with colleagues across the business.</p> <p>Your Responsibilities</p> <p>Sales &amp; Purchase Accounting</p> <ul> <li>Support the Sales Department with accounting treatment, SAP bookings, and invoice reviews.</li> <li>Review outgoing invoices and maintain accounting procedures and manuals.</li> <li>Expenses &amp; Invoice Management</li> <li>Process expense invoices and bank transactions in SAP.</li> <li>Support internal users with SAP and invoice-related queries.</li> <li>Review and process employee expense claims via SAP Concur.</li> <li>Keep procedures up to date and contribute to process improvements and Kaizen initiatives.</li> </ul> <p>General Accounting Support</p> <ul> <li>Assist with monthly closings and reporting.</li> <li>Perform reconciliations, bank postings, account reviews, and follow-up on open items.</li> <li>Support invoice booking and resolve accounting discrepancies.</li> <li>Prepare documentation for audits </li> <li>Provide backup support for payments, banking, foreign exchange, and other finance-related activities.</li> <li>Support the Accounting Manager with accruals, </li> </ul> <p>Your Profile</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li> <li>Approximately 2 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience.</li> <li>Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.</li> <li>Experience working with SAP is a strong asset.</li> <li>Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.</li> <li>Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a continuous improvement attitude.</li> <li>Able to work independently while being a strong team player.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities.</li> <li>Fluent in English, with a good knowledge of Dutch and French.</li> </ul>
