Labcorp is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Labcorp's Revenue Cycle Management Division. This Account Receivable Specialist is responsible for supporting Billing operations to ensure collection of account documents are processed within our Service Level Agreements.  Efficient in using several different applications to determine the next action and is proficient in simultaneously handling multiple responsibilities. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

·         Sort/open and process mail as it comes from the United States Post Office and prepare for next actions for cash posting and denial posting departments including- processing credit card payments in accordance with the PCI policy 

·         Research patient control numbers on checks/Explanation of Benefits (EOB’s) using the Labcorp Billing System 

·         Prepare documents for outgoing mail to patients, clients, and insurance companies 

·         Meet and maintain production goals 

·         Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures 

·         Perform required process improvement Lean activities (Go Meetings, 5S, etc) according to established expectations 

·         Perform 10 key and data entry

·         REQUIREMENTS 

·         High School Diploma or equivalent required

·         Previous accounts receivables / payables, claims/insurance or office

administration work experience strongly preferred

·         Alpha-Numeric Data Entry and 10 key proficiency and accuracy strongly preferred

·         Able to lift 25 lbs necessary

·         Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred

·         Ability to quickly learn new methods 

·         Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills 

·         Able to work on inventory that is repetitive 

·         Standing for long periods of time necessary

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team
