Salesforce is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sr. Manager, Global Rewards Financial Planner to join our dynamic Global Rewards team, reporting to the head of Global Benefits. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and managing comprehensive financial plans related to global rewards, including employee benefits programs. This role is critical in analyzing financial data, supporting the Rewards leaders in evaluating compensation and benefit options, and providing strategic recommendations to optimize our Rewards offerings while ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Global Rewards Financial Planner will collaborate closely across our Global Rewards Leadership teams and internal finance partners, as well as external partners such our brokers and benefits vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Design, manage and present, on a regular basis, a comprehensive financial reporting of our Rewards program budget, including specifics for benefits and compensation, to our Global Rewards leadership.
- Leads the financial modeling within Rewards and partners closely with Finance through our Rewards budgetary seasons, specifically our two primary cycles - the compensation budget process and our benefits budget process. This role is a critical player in the respective budget project teams.
- Working with our Rewards leaders and consultants, leads the conducting and coordination of Rewards budgetary inputs to develop a cohesive financial outlook that can seamlessly feed into our Finance partners’ budget models.
- Partner with benefits program and country managers, as needed, to analyze financial data related to benefits costs, utilization, and trends to assess program effectiveness and identify opportunities for cost efficiency while balancing the intended vision of the programs.
- Support in the evaluation of benefit options, vendors, and service providers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and alignment with company objectives and employee needs.
- Develop financial models and conduct cost-benefit analysis to assess the impact of proposed changes to Rewards programs, including comp and benefits programs, and make recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to develop annual budgets for benefits and compensation programs and track expenses against budgetary targets.
- Provide financial analysis and support for Rewards communications, education, and engagement initiatives to predict budgetary impacts of improved adoption of programs.
- Prepare presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders, summarizing financial performance, key metrics, and strategic recommendations.
- Stay current on industry trends, benchmarks, and emerging practices in Rewards (i.e. comp and benefits) and financial planning.
- Participate in cross-functional teams and projects to support business initiatives and enhance the overall employee experience.
- Partner with the broader Employee Success analytics team and Finance to develop a holistic view of how Global Rewards spend supports the overall Salesforce talent strategy.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a multinational organization.
- Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, managing budgets, forecasting and financial modeling, preferably with a focus on HR, Total Rewards (Comp and Benefits).
- In-depth understanding of compensation and benefits structures, including experience in benefits valuation.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Ability to translate complex financial models and analysis into clear and accessible language to expedite decision making and drive alignment on our budgets.
