Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Director of Technical Product Management at Western Digital, you will be responsible for developing and driving our product strategy and product management for datacenter SSD.   

• You will compliment your creativity through deep interaction with engineering, customers, customer support and partners to understand requirements and needs.
• You will be responsible for all stages of the product life cycle (conception, definition, development, release, and post-release activities) managing strategic planning, feature selection and tactical activities.
• Other responsibilities include collaborating with Product Marketing to create product related sales and marketing materials and evangelizing the products and product strategy both internally and externally. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• BS/MS or equivalent experience required 

• Strong desire to take ownership of the full product lifecycle

• Strong understanding of Flash based products

• 8+ years in product management

SKILLS:

• Very strong (written and verbal) communication and presentation skills

• Strong interpersonal skills leading and contributing to cross-functional teams

• Proven analytical and problem solving skills required

• Experience in fast-paced environments with overlapping projects/deliverables
