Your Role at KIK
As a Maintenance Mechanic, your primary focus will be to perform preventative maintenance on the equipment, including safety inspections, diagnosing and repairing, and ordering parts. In addition, you will be required to provide quick and innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns with customer customer-oriented manner.

What You’ll Be Doing
Sets up production equipment to run scheduled production
Discusses difficulties in operating equipment with machine operators to isolate problems, and then troubleshoots the machine to determine the cause and repairs required.
Must be able to read and follow directions as found in technical manuals as well as be able to document any and all changes they are involved in, so as to refer back to the notes and records a thereby gain understanding as to how to set up lines and adjust machines and conveyors as needed.
Performs necessary repairs on equipment to keep it in top running order.
Must be able to perform major mechanical overhauls of some packaging equipment
Carries out required preventative maintenance on equipment.
Assists in determining required design modifications and makes approved modifications to equipment.
Performs tasks in accordance with approved procedures and follows all safety procedures and GMPs.
Provides coverage for mechanics on other shifts, as needed.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision as well as in a team setting.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
Minimum 2 years experience
Preferred experience in a high-speed packaging and/or manufacturing environment
PLC and electrical experience is a plus
Possess strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
Good knowledge of preventative maintenance programs
Must be flexible to work Shift Work (days, afternoons, nights)
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with lots of changes
Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and Lockout Procedures
Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management software’s an asset
Must pay attention to details with a customer service attitude
Strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills
