The Director, HR Strategy & Program Management is responsible for the planning, alignment, integration, and execution of strategic and operational programs and processes across the HR function. This role will drive operational efficiency and impact, lead and facilitate large scale programs and provide insight and access to the organizational strategy and direction.
This position will report into the SVP, Human Resources Leader and be a key member of the HR Leadership Team. As a key member of the HR Leadership Team, you will design the annual operating mechanisms, prepare content, oversee budget, knowledge share, champion change management and HR projects, and coordinate workstreams to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Partner closely with the SVP, HR, HR Leadership, to facilitate, shape, and implement annual and longer-term planning process, integrating programs and practices across a multi-year roadmap.
- Drive enterprise initiatives by leading HR, finance, legal, and other cross-functional partners thru influence. Examples include near-to-longer term strategic workforce planning efforts, associate & leadership development investments, and HR functional transformation initiatives.
- Prioritize projects and resources, develop KPIs, and report progress while taking an enterprise-wide HR program approach. Much of the initial focus will be on change management and program management during the transitional phases of HR functional transformation across the enterprise.
- Model a “future-ready”, enterprise-thinking approach within HR through coalescing business strategy, HR strategy built through a management system, philosophy, and principles (for internal candidates leveraging Danaher Business System toolkit).
- Serve as a thought partner and innovator in bringing in extensive external research, benchmarking, and analytical approaches together with standard methodologies, providing solutions and execution
- Collaborate within HR leadership and the HR team as PMO subject matter expert, driving governance of the HR team, and mentoring & coaching the team to develop program management abilities, and establishing standards and procedures for HR Leadership Team operating rhythm to enhance overall team productivity and efficiency.
- Periodically partner with Diagnostics Platform on key initiatives and reporting needs. A key responsibility will be partnering with the Data Analytics team to evolve how data is leveraged to drive business decisions, including for strategic workforce planning, organizational design, with the intent to elevate organizational effectiveness globally.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years’ experience, Preferred Master’s and 6+ or Doctoral degree and 3+ years’ experience
- 3+ years of experience leading strategic initiatives and/or programs across departments and experience in data analysis and budget management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Versatile abilities and extreme dedication to efficient productivity and organization skills
- Expertise in strategy, operations, project management, financial planning, and operational coordination to facilitate the implementation and execution of critical priorities.
Preferred: Previous experience in:
- Effective visual storytelling for leadership / stakeholders, leveraging data analytics
- Integrating finance and HR principles for effective organization and headcount management
- Experience in workforce planning and talent management,
