Kiawah River Investments Intern

Description

The Beach Company is looking for a highly motivated individual with strong analytical experience to work on the Kiawah River Development Team for 10-12 weeks. This intern will work largely on financial project-based assignments with leaders up to our Director of Development. If selected for an interview, you will be invited to join us on The Beach Company Super Day, taking place at The Jasper in Charleston, SC, on February 6th, 2025. 

Requirements

What You’ll do

• Work with the finance team to understand the team's day-to-day duties and responsibilities and gain knowledge of the line of business and function within the broader real estate business.
• Assists the finance team with proforma preparation, monitors and verifies the integrity and accuracy of the development proformas, and assists in monitoring and evaluating investment decisions throughout the project.
• Assist in reporting and documenting weekly and monthly development performance reports by gathering information from accounting, real estate sales, and development teams.
• May work on special projects that require building relationships and partnering with other members outside the Finance Team to reach goals.
• Complete end-of-program Capstone Project and Presentation.

What We’re Looking For

• Enthusiasm for finance and a strong interest in real estate.
• Currently pursuing a degree in finance, real estate, or a related field.
• Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. 
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for numbers
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
