Barbaricum is seeking a Principal Analytics and Data Mining Engineer to lead efforts in developing and deploying analytic solutions for a federal customer at the forefront of the Nation's cybersecurity challenges. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance and 15+ years of experience in a directly related field.
Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to develop analytic solutions for each analytics use case developed during the performance of this contract.
- Work closely with the Analytics Research team to identify platform enhancements that support the forward-looking analytics under consideration.
- Develop and implement hardware, analytics, tools, techniques, practices, deployment standards, and performance specifications for each analytics use case.
- Use advanced knowledge of cyber threats, tools, techniques, and processes to inform the development of analytic solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective deployment of analytic solutions across the organization.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in analytics and data mining.
- Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical guidance and support to team members and customers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Four-year degree in a related field
- 15+ years of experience in a highly related field, with advanced knowledge of cyber threats, tools, techniques, and processes
- Experience developing and deploying analytic solutions for large-scale organizations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field
- Experience working with federal customers and/or in the Defense and National Security sector
- Experience with data mining techniques and tools
- Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques
- Industry certifications such as CISSP or CISM
