About the role
Key Areas of Responsibility (Answerable for the following end results)
- Provide leadership and supervision (directing, coaching, and mentoring) for Program & Project Managers
- Oversee resolution of key program related customer issues
- Facilitate program Phase exit reviews with functional group leaders / Plant leadership
- Manage and maintain the Engineering change system company wide
- Development and tracking of KPI’s
- Program risk assessment
- Program launch timing
- Capital and Tooling launch budget
- Engineering change task completion
- Support and provide input for all new business RFQ’s
- Assure compliance with the Business System to align with established internal and external regulations and standards
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
- Lead cross functional Leadership team toward resolution of internally escalated Program issues
- Ensure that program financial performance is established and enhanced during the development of the program
- Optimize specific Program Management templates, benchmarking off existing systems
- Establish and maintain consistent project management methodologies, processes, and tools
- Adhere to all company guidelines for Emergency Evacuation to ensure employee safety
- Any additional responsibility deemed necessary by management
Limits of Authority
- Advise Executive and Top Management of those situations that may pose a significant risk to the program, product assurance, facilities, employee safety or customer satisfaction results
- Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, process & systems
- Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process or system
- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through the appropriate channels and verify implementation
Basic Education, Experience and Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or management/business discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Project Management Professional “PMP” certification is a plus
- Minimum 5 years of automotive experience in a management role
- Minimum 10 years of cumulative experience in Program Management or Engineering discipline within the automotive industry
- Minimum 10 years of automotive experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of project management tools
- Skills in financial management and budgeting
- Able to maintain confidential information

Health, Safety and Physical Demand Requirements
