For these exciting and challenging tasks, we need people who want to shape the future of district heating and the future of Berlin - people like you.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join <strong>Wärme Berlin AG </strong>as the <strong>Head of Strategic Asset Management &amp; Markets</strong>. You will be responsible for developing a holistic asset portfolio strategy and execution roadmap detailing the company’s ambition to transform towards climate neutrality whilst securing sustainable profitability. This function reports directly into the CEO.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Development of the asset portfolio (specification, fuel, technology &amp; capacity)</li><li>Setting and tracking specific goals for the asset portfolio over the entire asset lifecycle</li><li>Identification of performance improvement measures balancing asset related risks and opportunities</li><li>Responsibility for strategic asset control and monitoring (asset performance management)</li><li>Leading all aspects of the mid-/long term markets function focusing on securing revenue streams and optimizing energy economics</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><strong>Professional Experiences / Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Master’s degree in business, engineering or equivalent</li><li>At least 5 years of relevant experience in a management role with significant disciplinary &amp; budget accountability</li><li>Ability to navigate cross-functional relationships, resolve issues and conflicts with proven experience driving teams to a successful alignment and completion of asset and market related projects</li><li>Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, infrastructure and operations</li><li>Knowledge of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting and risk management</li><li>Solid understanding of energy economics / commodity trading, portfolio management and hedging</li><li>Business fluent in both German and English, spoken and written, with German as key working language</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p>We offer a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience.</p><p>We welcome your motivation letter via email to <a href="mailto:management.waerme@vattenfall.de"><strong>management.waerme@vattenfall.de</strong></a> in German or English, no later than <strong>27.11.2023</strong>.
