Key responsibility is the management of the Freight Bill Audit &amp; Pay (FBAP) activities with an external provider.</p><p></p><p>This position reports to the Director Automotive Logistics and has no direct reports.</p><p>  </p><p><b>What you will do</b></p><ul><li>Management of Global Freight Bill Audit &amp; Payment (FBAP) provider and it’s activities, including:<ul><li>Oversight of the receiving and timely processing of invoices</li><li>Being first point of contact for external FBAP provider and Harman forwarders on all invoice related questions</li><li>Analytic reporting across all services and modes of transportation</li></ul></li><li>Partner with Business units and functional owners to explore and understand root cause behind logistics spending – identify opportunities for improvement, cost savings</li><li>Gain internal BU and regional alignment to include all modes of transportation and capture 100% of the global logistics spend within the FBAP process</li><li>Analyze/validate the logistics budget versus actual cost differences on plant level</li><li>Work with the external FBAP provider, Harman Shared Services and business unit finance teams to prompt issue resolution and corrective actions</li><li>Support a global redesign of the indirect logistics procure-to-pay process, ensure visibility to pending payments and accrual reporting, and timely payment of external LSPs</li><li>Collaborate with Harman Global Control Tower (4PL) to ensure technology interface between shipments and invoices</li><li>Document and develop a process to maintain general ledger account coding logic by Region, by Division / BU.  Manage / Track changes</li><li>Redesign, document and control SAP info records maintenance cycle for freight and duty ensuring highest data integrity and accuracy</li><li>Preparation and presentation of reports and status updates for management reviews</li><li>Preparation and presentation of reports and status updates for internal customers</li><li>Build and maintain close working relationships with internal- and external stakeholders to optimize Harman’s Logistics network</li><li>Establish and report global KPIs, share best-in-class practices, and identify synergies across business units</li><li>Be an agent of positive change: Improve internal / external customer satisfaction by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; establishing and communicating service metrics; monitoring and analyzing results.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What You Need to Be Successful</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, Operations or another related field, or equivalent experience in distribution, warehousing, logistics and/or operations management</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of related experience in Finance or Logistics with a preference in automotive / electronics distribution.
