We are looking for talented individuals to join our ReadyNow Medical Science Liaison Development Program! If you love a fast-paced, ever-changing, challenging environment, and have a desire to experience living in different parts of the country, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.

HOW IT WORKS

In this 18-month development program, you will be joining a team of new-to-pharmaceutical-industry professionals and will have the opportunity to experience living and working in different US locations. Upon completion of full product training, you will be deployed into field territories on rotation assignments of varying lengths. After completion of each rotation, your new rotation location will be determined based on business needs.  All applicants must commit to up to 18 months of travel rotations across the nation. Business travel by air or car that varies by territory and can be approximately 70-80% of the time.

WHAT'S YOUR ULTIMATE GOAL ALONG THE WAY

Your goal is to earn a permanent territory as an Otsuka Medical Science Liason. You will demonstrate success in this role through collaboration with your ReadyNow Medical Business Lead and your larger Otsuka field team, overall performance, and exemplifying the established behaviors of an Otsuka Medical Science Liason.

Position OverviewReadyNow Medical & Science Liaison (Manager Level)

As an integral member of the ecosystem team for Otsuka’s new ecosystem-based customer engagement model, the ReadyNow Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Mgr contributes to the development of the ecosystem strategic business plan and identifies key stakeholders that are vital to the ecosystem. The ReadyNow Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a credible partner responsible for providing clinical, science and health economic information related to disease states and the appropriate utilization of approved Otsuka products within an ecosystem. This field-based position will engage with Key Influencers (KIs), Local Practice Leaders (LPLs), healthcare providers, and patients’ groups within their ecosystem, to further patient outcomes aligned with the overarching objectives of Otsuka. In collaboration with their ecosystem partners, ReadyNow MSLs contribute to the customization of the region business strategy to meet local ecosystem needs and are responsible for the medical and educational requirements of their customers. In addition, ReadyNow MSLs may be responsible for covering multiple products within a therapeutic area, as well as engaging in broad clinical and Science discussions that impact patient care, resulting in rich customer insights shared. Permanent placement isn’t guaranteed, it’s earned, so you’ll have to demonstrate that you have what it takes to be a star on our team!

YOU NEED TO HAVE

  • An Advanced Degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Biological Sciences, Health Services Research or Public Health, (PharmD., M.D., PhD. Or D.Ph) is required
  • 2-3 years of postgraduate related work experience
  • Understanding the interconnectivity of health systems, overall delivery of patient care and experience working with healthcare professionals and other decision makers
  • Outstanding business acumen; knows the industry, key competitors, and other marketplace factors/dynamics. Able to identify solutions with the overall goal of improved patient outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong conflict resolution
  • Knows how to summarize and communicate complex information and business objectives in a concise and effective way during presentations and other interactions.
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment undergoing transformation
