MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Billing Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing a segment of billing operations within the office for their assigned care teams. This position is responsible for supervising Billing Coordinators, auditing billing and payroll reports, distributing incoming caregiver notes, addressing payroll inquiries, and assisting with processing and reconciling payroll hours.

Leadership:
• Provide direct leadership to the billing team members, fostering a positive and collaborate work environment
• Serve as primary leader for a part of the billing department, ensuring daily operations are managed efficiently 
• Set clear expectations, goals, and priorities for team members, aligning their efforts with organizational objectives
• Escalate any significant issues, concerns, or challenges to the Billing Director
• Review and approve team member timecards

Training and Development:
• Develop and implement training programs and resources to ensure that team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively 
• Provide ongoing guidance and support to enhance the professional development and competency of team members

Payroll and Billing:
• Perform reconciliation of payroll hours against submitted caregiver notes, resolve discrepancies found, and maintain records of reconciliation 
• Answer escalated questions for caregivers and Billing Coordinators

Quality Assurance: 
• Review and analyze reports and take corrective action as needed
• Cross Reference documentation for accuracy
• Review and work audits to ensure data integrity 

Goal Management:
• Monitor progress towards goals, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to keep the team on track to meet targets 

Team Collaboration: 
• Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork within the office
• Facilitate effective communication and coordination between team members to ensure seamless and excellent continuity of services

JOB QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCIE

• Healthcare Clerical experience preferred
• 1 year of billing or payroll experience
• Key competencies include communication, accountability, attention to detail, planning and organizing, problem solving, critical thinking, leadership, and teambuilding
