Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing inventory and prepares items for use throughout the plant, as well as shipping to the customer. 
  • Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures incoming and outgoing inventory to verify quantities against manufacturing orders, purchase orders, or other inventory records.   
  • Operate forklift for movement of shipments, racks, and other inventory.
  • Route inventory to shipment staging area or warehouse location.
  • Work with Shipping team members and assist when needed to expedite workflow to meet customer delivery schedule.
  • Work closely with other departments and team members to move product throughout the facility to maintain a steady workflow
  • Audit work to ensure part and quantity ordered are correct, and boxing or packaging requirements meet order specifications.
  • Pull and stage purchase parts for production according to manufacturing orders (MO’s)
  • Maintain purchase part area by practicing FIFO methods, conducting routine inventories, and maintaining a clean and organized work area
  • Receives raw materials, components, and purchase parts into our system while verifying accuracy of orders, labeling product, and updating purchase orders
  • Stores product in proper locations after receiving
  • Reports defective materials and/or parts to appropriate personnel
  • Practice safe work habits.
  • Responsible for the 5S housekeeping system within assigned work areas by maintaining the work area and keeping the equipment in a clean orderly condition.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. 
  • Work involves standing, walking, and lifting during shift schedule.
  • Noise level is normal for a manufacturing environment.


Requirements

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma/GED or two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. 
  • Strong organizational skills required
  • Must be able to read and follow manufacturing orders (MO’s)
  • Basic knowledge of the manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Intermediate knowledge of inventory control practices
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.  
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.
