The Sr. Marketing Operations Specialist role is centered around driving marketing operational excellence by focusing on the set-up, execution, and optimization of our marketing campaigns. This role serves as the main marketing contact for marketing technology and automation and works cross-functionally to ensure data and reporting integrity. The Sr. Marketing Operations Specialist role is centered around driving marketing operational excellence by focusing on the set-up, execution, and optimization of our marketing campaigns. This role serves as the main marketing contact for marketing technology and automation and works cross-functionally to ensure data and reporting integrity. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, collaborative, solution-driven, and can multi-task in a fast-paced workplace environment.
What you'll do:
- Work with cross-functional marketing team to coordinate, execute and test campaigns across various channels.
- Oversee marketing tools, campaign data, automation and integration.
- Use Pardot as the “marketing engine” to manage the customer journey, send emails, build workflows, nurture leads, and turn marketing data into insights.
- Execute marketing campaign plans, including segmentation and targeting strategies.
- Manage marketing data through collecting, cleansing, maintaining and organizing customer lists and identifying and advocating for marketing data quality standards.
- Create meaningful reports and dashboards to lead conversations with the service line teams and cross-functional marketing teams about demand progression and the pipeline of key marketing projects.
- Monitoring campaign performance metrics, analyzing results and making data-driven adjustments.
- Ensure a smooth handoff of leads to the sales teams, helping to troubleshoot technical issues within the marketing automation system and keeping data within the system up to date.
- Work with internal marketing team to field marketing enhancement requests, and partner with the CRM and sales operations team on bugs, or future functionality, attend demos, and communicate out status updates to key stakeholders.
- Working with our global partners to understand our existing marketing tech stack to identify optimizations, integration opportunities, research new opportunities, experiment with new tools and approaches and assist with execution when needed.
- Proactively provide campaign effectiveness solutions, serving as channel owner for email marketing.
- Identify opportunities to automate marketing processes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What it takes:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 5+ years working within a marketing operations team, preferably in a B2B environment
- Fundamental working knowledge of Pardot, Salesforce and their ecosystem is required
- Familiarity with Monday.com
- Experience with marketing automation and email software strongly preferred (Pardot preferred)
- Strong reporting skills and proficiency in Excel
- Self-starter with an enthusiasm to learn and become proficient in new technologies and develop subject matter expertise
- Keen observer and learner looking to continually be challenged and grow
- Ability to determine when to escalate problems to leadership and when to carry out solutions on your own
- Ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights
- Ability to work independently with excellent communication and project management skills
- Detail-oriented, self-reliant, and process-driven mindset
- Strong understanding of marketing and sales funnels to contribute to team discussions, cross-department collaboration, and key projects.
