POSITION SUMMARY
Warehouse Shift Leader is responsible for supporting the supply chain in areas of schedule administration, receiving, production supply and machinery. The achievement of daily goals focused on Safety, Quality and Cost, Productivity and Moral are also key to success and must be impacted daily. Leadership and guidance in the principals of NCE to all warehouse associates is expected. The warehouse leader is responsible for unloading tanker trucks, semolina rail cares, and using CIP system, running test products, using milk batching system, semolina receiving and transfer systems.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
****MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK 3RD SHIFT, 8PM-530AM****
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- On the job training
SKILLS:
- Reading, Math (addition, subtraction, division, fractions, and percentages), computer, and Leadership skills. Basic mechanical aptitude (i.e., correct use of wrenches, drivers, pliers, and lubrication techniques).
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Able to safely operate a variety of forklift equipment.
- Able to work in temperatures below 0 for long periods of time and be able to lift loads up to 75 pounds.
- Must be able to work and communicate effectively with others, organize and perform work accurately with minimum supervision.
- Must have an acceptable work attendance record and be able to work flexible hours.
- Must be able to use all types of chemicals for cleaning, also must able to use CIP system
- Perform necessary sanitation for milk room, milk receiving area and semolina receiving area. Duties will be assigned
- Assist in the training of new associates and cross training of the other associates
- To perform work in safe manner and be familiar with all safety procedures, along with being able to use lockout/ tag out procedures
- To perform Heat treatment on flour day bin’s and change socks in confined space areas
- Must be able to work at elevated heights for long periods of time
- Must be able to unload all types of tanker trucks, semolina trucks, and semolina rail cars
- Must have a good working knowledge of equipment in responsibility area and have a basic mechanical skill
- Must have computer knowledge on E-Mail, GLOBE, etc.
- Team members shall understand and follow factory management systems for human safety, food safety and/or environmental management. Understand and actively work toward achieving management system targets and objectives.
- Contact the safety team for BBS observation training and then complete and turn in at a minimum 1 BBS observation per week
- Team members shall follow the plant rules, procedures, and/or practices related to management systems.
- Team members will report incidents and unsafe conditions immediately, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the appropriate management system on all related procedures and programs.
- Attend Daily Operational Reviews (LC DORs)
- Own daily management of all pallets, ensure they are washed
- Lead SHO or designate a leader
- Collect risk predictions and other safety tools
- Collect staging reports and confirm all materials necessary for next shift are staged
- Assign responsibilities for each person for current shift
- Tour factory near the end of the shift
- Audit tunnel for temperature abuse
- Audit all warehouse locations for cleanliness
