As a Security Professional - Retail Patrol - Part Time in Bay City, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a retail or mall location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to visitors and staff. You will be expected to communicate clearly and professionally, respond promptly to incidents, and support access control measures as needed. This position requires a valid driver's license, as you may be responsible for driving as part of your patrol duties. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and/or directing visitors as needed.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and site contacts regarding incidents, concerns, or requests.
• Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and assisting first responders as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
