Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

About This Job

This position will report onsite at our HQ in San Diego, CA. No remote or Hybrid availability offered.

As a member of the Quality Assurance team, the QA Automation Engineer is responsible for writing code to automatically test various areas of Axos core banking functionality, including Web UI, SQL databases, REST APIs, and Mobile devices. Responsible for reviewing, interpreting, and applying business rules and logic to ensure a high level of software quality, consistency, and repeatability. Works closely with Project, Product, Development, and Production Support teams to meet agreed-upon deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Works as part of an Agile cross-functional team developing new automation code to automatically test new Issues and Enhancements each Sprint
• Develops, implements, and maintains automated tests within our current framework and infrastructure
• Reviews new and existing user stories to ensure good understanding of Axos bank core functionality
• Documents and reports on issues found to the Quality Assurance, Development, and Product teams
• Writes new and updates existing test cases as needed
• Assists dedicated automation team with maintaining existing automation scripts and troubleshooting automation suite failures as needed

Requirements:

• Associates Degree or higher in a related field
• 2+ years’ experience in a quality assurance role with automation responsibilities
• 1+ years’ experience creating SQL queries in Oracle and\or MS SQL
• 1+ years’ experience with JavaScript
• 2+ years’ experience automating use or test cases
• 2+ years’ experience implementing automation using TestIM or similar tool, or using JavaScript or Selenium Web Driver
• 2+ years’ experience implementing automation testing REST APIs
• 1+ years’ experience creating automation tests for mobile devices (Android and iOS)
• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Strong verbal and written communication ability

Preferred:

• Financial services and/or consumer banking industry experience
• Experience using a low-code\no-code automation tool
