ABOUT THE JOB

The Chief of Staff, People is the connective tissue between the Vice President of People, the broader executive team and the rest of the company. This role is responsible for proactively designing, building and executing the operational rhythm, strategic programs and cross-functional communications that enable our people function to operate at a high level and drive organizational performance.

You will act as a strategic thought partner and force multiplier to the Vice President of People, ensuring the people team is aligned, prioritized and resourced to deliver against our most critical goals. You will lead initiatives across talent, culture, operations and change management—working seamlessly across all levels of the company to help scale impact and foster a world-class employee experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Strategic Advisor: Serve as a trusted advisor to the VP of People, helping to drive clarity and focus across a broad portfolio of initiatives, including headcount growth, organizational design, employee engagement and global expansion efforts.
  • Cross-Functional Integration: Design and manage how the People team interfaces with key stakeholders across the company, ensuring effective collaboration, information flow and alignment.
  • Project & Initiative Leadership: Lead high-impact, cross-functional strategic initiatives (e.g., future of work planning, technology upgrades), from ideation through to execution and measurement.
  • Executive Operations: Prepare and facilitate content and data for executive meetings, board updates, and offsites—driving agenda setting, action tracking and execution against key decisions.
  • Org Performance & Planning: Help drive business rhythm for the people team, including quarterly reviews, strategic planning, headcount management and team communications.
  • People Strategy Enablement: Partner on key people initiatives such as workforce planning, succession planning, talent development and engagement surveys. Help define and track metrics to evaluate organizational health.
  • Stakeholder Management: Represent the VP of People in internal and external forums, ensuring that communication is aligned, timely and driving the desired outcomes with employees, leadership and external partners.
  • Culture & Change Leadership: Serve as a champion of company values and help manage complex organizational change efforts, fostering clarity and momentum across employee-facing initiatives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of professional experience, ideally in strategy, business operations, consulting or similar high-execution environments.
  • Demonstrated success in Chief of Staff or Chief Operating Officer-like roles supporting senior executives.
  • Strong understanding of people, SG&A or operations adjacent departments.
  • Demonstrated experience building materials and presentations for C-suite and board members.
  • Adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment, effectively prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and executive writing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with high-level executives and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver on complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Highly organized, systems-thinker with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience supporting or leading people or operations teams in high-growth, scaling, or transformational environments.
  • Familiarity with people systems and analytics platforms (e.g., Workday, Culture Amp, GEM, Greenhouse).
  • Degree in Finance or Business strongly preferred.
