• Pay is based on past work experience and/or schooling required for the Instrumentation and Electrical Distribution Technician (Trainee):
  • $26.08 an hour for Level I
  • $29.03 an hour for Level II
  • $31.40 an hour for Level III.  
  • Great earnings potential available when meeting B Level and A Level technician requirement.

What you’ll do

 

The primary responsibility the Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Trainee) role is to learn to maintain, install and repair process equipment, machinery, structures, piping systems, and mechanical equipment in production and production support plants across the site according to the instructions and procedures established by the manufacturer and Bayer.

 

• Assist in performing routine, unscheduled, and preventative maintenance jobs that 1) return disabled equipment to a safe working condition or 2) thru regular routine or preventative activities, maintain equipment in good, safe working condition to eliminate unscheduled outages;
• Assist in the installation of new equipment or make modifications to existing equipment that will enhance the operation of process equipment;
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment that is not performing to standards and complete the necessary repairs for optimum performance of the equipment;
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards;
• Operate all mobile equipment safely and within the working limits of the equipment;
• Operate all lifting equipment, both stationary and mobile, safely, within the load limits of the equipment;
• Maintain accurate records of time spent and material used on work orders;
• Participate in reviews regarding repairs, replacements, failure analysis, installations, and modifications of equipment;
• Computer knowledge, understanding of diagrams, prints, etc.;
• Observe all company work and safety procedures;
• Ensure proper use and care of tools, equipment, and facilities.

 

Required Qualification:

 

• High School diploma or GED equivalent;
• Ability to pass a post-offer physical and perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation;
