Job Description

As a Senior Accountant, you will contribute to the successful operation of the North America Controllership group. The group performs the month end ledger close process and prepares financial reporting to the parent company, Publicis Groupe. The group also provides account reconciliations, fixed asset accounting and reporting, intercompany balancing, audit, and tax support.  This is an exciting time at Publicis Sapient as we continue to grow as a business and embark on a large systems conversion from Oracle to SAP.

Your Impact:

Preparation of journal entries and support monthly close process
Monthly analysis of balance sheet and P&L
Support various tax teams by answering information requests and tracking indirect tax accruals and payments
Support external auditor with reviews and year-end audits, internal audits and controls audits as necessary. Manage PBCs and work with finance teams to meet audit deadlines
Preparation of audit schedules as required
Coordinate with various Shared Services groups to investigate open items and resolve issues.
Interact with various financial personnel across the organization to provide information, answer questions and resolve issues
Follow and enforce parent company accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Your Skills and Experience:

3-6 years of experience in an accounting role
Public Accounting and Tax Experience highly preferred
Experience with large, complex international companies preferred
Experience with Oracle and/or SAP a big plus
Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to complete deadline-oriented tasks with minimal supervision
Team player and can adapt/adhere to changing priorities
Corporate and/or indirect tax experience a plus
Strong knowledge of US GAAP
Understanding of IFRS accounting principles a plus
Knowledge of account reconciliation procedures
Intermediate to advanced experience with Excel
Flexible to work after hours to meet reporting deadlines
Proven work ethic

Additional Information

Pay Range: $75,000 - $112,000

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
