Job Purpose:
As a Staff Development Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that the training and educational needs of employees are met by creating, developing, writing and implementing training material, programs and curriculums. You will also be responsible for coordinating initial training for new hires and in-services to all staff, responsible for Learning Management Systems (LMS) records in self-directed team environment with highly organized approach to planning and implementing of business solutions.
Logistics:
This is a full-time position (40 hours/week, Monday – Friday) in a typical office environment. This role is based at 4101 Percival Road in Columbia, SC. Work hours are 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM with some mandatory overtime hours depending on business needs. Some travel may be required.

What You'll Do:
- Develop, create, write, modify and maintain training material to include e-learning training for new hires as well as in-services for systems changes, workflows etc. Assist with program development and training plans.
- Develop evaluative information and coordinate the approval of assessment tools. Collaborate with testing team to create and train staff on system upgrades and/or changes. Interact with multiple LOBs, departments and management.
- Provide training to staff on Mainframe, Web and database systems.
- Perform administrative duties including maintenance of training records, report production within LMS. Responsible for all LMS Administrator duties. Collect and analyze data from assessments and evaluations and provide feedback to management.
- Liaison with departments, divisions and outside entities to ensure training needs for area are met.
To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a job-related field OR 4 years of job-related work experience OR an Associate's degree and 2 years of job-related experience.
- 1 year of training experience with instructor led and e-learning training.
- 1 year of business writing experience.
- Strong human relations skills.
- Strong time management and planning skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication and planning skills.
- Knowledge of PC based applications and/or working knowledge of internal systems.
- Strong organizational skills necessary to schedule, arrange, prioritize and deliver work assignments as assigned.
- The ability to use audio visual and other training aids equipment.
- Audio visual equipment.
- Knowledge of authoring software and other technologies.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
