Technical Product Manager

The Technical Product Manager - Inventory Management System is responsible for the technical components of the system’s capabilities and functions at Circle K. This role partners with functional stakeholders representing forecasting, replenishment, allocation, space and floor planning functions to define a prioritized roadmap, and concurrently works with technical resources within and outside the company to plan and deliver new capabilities.
The role resides in the North America Enterprise Systems team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
The position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential job duties, responsibilities, and requirements:
Goals and Vision: The Technical Product Manager manages the goals and vision for the product and serves as the bridge between stakeholders and technical resources. They ensure alignment with the company’s strategic objectives and technical capabilities.
Creating and Owning the Product Roadmap: The Technical PM develops and maintains a product roadmap that outlines key milestones, features, and release timelines.
Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams: Working closely with engineers, designers, developers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders, the Technical PM ensures effective communication and coordination throughout the product development lifecycle.
Deep Understanding of Data required for the implementation of new functions.
Manage Technical Requirements: The Technical Product Manager translates technical requirements into product features. They articulate precise specifications and features, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
Defining and Communicating Product Strategy: The Technical PM communicates the product vision and strategy to internal teams, stakeholders, and customers.
Budget Management: The product manager works with stakeholders to get funding approval and to manage the budget associated with continued development of the system.
Delivery: The product manager manages the technical delivery of improvements and works with operations to implement the capabilities effectively.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business).
Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably in a technical or software-related domain.
Strong understanding of agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to translate technical concepts into clear directives for development teams.
