Your responsibilities
Deliver accurate, timely and relevant information for all Uniper’s reportable activities pertaining to portfolio positions, performance and risks
Responsible for ensuring complete and correct market prices in the daily reporting
Actively manage data flow in the relevant reporting tools, assuring data integrity, automating activities where possible
Prepare and validate daily P&L reports for portfolio activities (natural gas trading & environmental products)
Analyze and explain P&L drivers, market trends, and trading strategies to Front office & senior management.
Ensure that all trading positions are fairly valued in accordance with relevant accounting standards and market conditions.
Collaborate with the trading team to understand and monitor open positions, trading strategies, and market risks.
Support the month-end close process, including reconciliation of P&L and balance sheet items related to natural gas trading.
Participate in the development and enhancement of risk management tools and methodologies.
Liaise with internal and external auditors to provide required information and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Contribute to ad-hoc projects and analysis as required by the Product Control Manager or other senior stakeholders.
Your profile
Undergraduate degree in the areas of Business Administration/ Economics/Finance, Business Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science (or comparable).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in product control, risk management, or a similar role within the energy sector.
Strong understanding of the US natural gas markets and related financial instruments.
Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and other financial systems.
Work experience in reporting, commodity trading and working with trading systems like CXL and – especially – Endur would be an advantage
Strong analytical mind-set & experience in understanding, improving, and developing analytical tools to support portfolio movement analysis
Strong team player with demonstrated experience of working in an international team.
Excellent communication skills, fluent in English<
