Job Description
This position is an integral part of the Universal Studios Hollywood Symphony and Global Promotions Marketing team, providing project support for our domestic Universal Studios Hollywood theme park. This role will focus on aiding in the development and execution of strategic marketing and promotional campaigns and on-site/in-park activations.
The Coordinator will also assist in the development, execution, and administration of promotional programs after the programs have been pitched and negotiated by team members and take ownership over the creation and tracking of program overview documents, legal materials and campaign recaps.
This position provides heavy support to the team, acting as the eyes and ears to always know every program that is running or in development.
Day to day requirements:
- Assist team in the development of partner promotional campaigns for Universal Studios Hollywood
- Draft campaign overviews and team marketing materials, calculate media valuations, and create presentation and recap decks
- Liaise with the Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort internal legal departments on the creation and coordination of legal materials for promotional campaigns
- Collect winner information from promotional partners to fulfill contracted prizing elements
- Assist in the research of new and emerging promotional partners to support key Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Destination & Experiences marketing initiatives
- Aid in the development and execution of strategic cross-marketing campaigns for Comcast/NBCU Symphony initiatives and major attraction launches at Universal Studios Hollywood
- Assist team in the development and execution of on-site & in-park marketing activations
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with external partners as well as internal departments across the company
Qualifications
The Ideal candidate for this position has experience in promotions or partnership marketing, as well as having a passion for the theme park and entertainment industry.
- 2+ years of marketing or consumer promotions experience (internship experience will be considered).
- Strong Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Detail-oriented, organized, good follow through, able to multi-task, and work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Solid written and verbal communication skills required
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, able to work well with all levels of management
- Capable of multi-tasking, detailed oriented, able to work independently in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to stay calm under deadline pressure.
