Under the direction of the Manager, Systems, Payroll & Operational Development, and the day- to-day supervision of the Lead Developer & Systems Architect, primary responsibility will be the design, coding, testing, and deployment of high-quality software solutions in support of the F&S products and services that run our campus. The incumbent undertakes the new systems software development to increase the effectiveness, efficiency, maintainability and ease of use of the Energy Management Reporting System (EMRS). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the design, development, and optimization of these critical systems, ensuring they align with our organizational goals and maintain the highest standards of performance and security.
Your responsibilities will include:

Designing and implementing new applications or make modifications to existing complex software applications using disciplines processes, adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Lead the design and implementation of scalable and maintainable system architectures.

Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies and tools for software development.

Contribute to both front-end and back-end development as needed.

Ensure the seamless integration of user-facing elements with server-side logic.

Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices within the development team.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.

Mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Participate in project planning, including resource estimation and task prioritization.

Collaborate with project managers to ensure successful and timely project delivery.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers.

Communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

Contribute to the deployment pipeline to ensure efficient and reliable releases.

Document architectural decisions, coding standards, and development processes.

Ensure the availability of comprehensive documentation for codebase and systems.
Essential Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum six (6) years of related software development experience designing, developing, implementing and supporting business applications, as well as web-based client-server technologies, including in-depth knowledge of ASP.NET, C#, .NET Framework/Core, WCF, WEB API (and RESTful APIs), Entity Framework, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, Typescript.

Expertise in multiple programming languages (e.g. C#, C, Java, Python, etc.).

Advanced knowledge of software development frameworks and tools.

In-depth understanding of software architecture and design principles.
