Job Description

We believe everyone should be able to participate and thrive in the economy. We believe bitcoin plays an essential role in the future of payment and the world’s economy. We believe that the status quo of bitcoin mining does not serve the mission of the bitcoin ecosystem. So we’re building a bitcoin mining rig powered by a Block designed ASIC. With our mining rig, we can address many mining issues such as the concentration of hardware supply in certain countries and incompatibility with clean energy sources.

As a Product Manager on Block’s mining team, you are responsible:

• Product definition of our first mining rig
• Roadmap for our future mining rigs product lines
• The overall business impact of that product line
• The customer satisfaction of that product line
• You will identify new product opportunities, translate those opportunities into product requirements/priorities
• While working with a best-in-class design, engineering, and manufacturing team to turn those ideas into products and new features.
• You will be responsible for continuously identifying and executing on ways to improve your product through a deep understanding of our customers, competitors, and the changing landscape we operate in.
• Finally, you will partner with product marketing to help ensure your product is getting to the right customers.

Qualifications

• 8 years of product management experience or equivalent product strategy and customer insights experience. 

• Experience leading the delivery of products / features / projects which have a high degree of cross-functional complexity and integration. 

• A track record of shipping and iterating on successful consumer or enterprise products. 

• Great interpersonal, communication, organizational, analytical skills.

• A proven ability to influence.  

• A passion for Block’s mission of economic empowerment and well designed hardware products. 

• Knowledge of hardware products is a must have while blockchain technology and bitcoin mining is a nice to have

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $202,500 - USD $247,500
Zone B: USD $192,400 - USD $235,200
Zone C: USD $182,300 - USD $222,800
Zone D: USD $172,200 - USD $210,400

This role is also eligible to participate in Block's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
