Front is transforming how teams communicate with customers — and great design is central to that mission. You’ll join a high-trust design org with strong executive support, global cross-functional partners, and a culture that values quality, curiosity, and care. As a Senior Design Manager at Front, you’ll lead a group of talented product designers based in San Francisco and oversee key product surfaces: Core Product Experience, Chat, Knowledge Base, and Design Systems.

You’ll be responsible for raising the bar of design craft and coaching your team to deliver intuitive, polished, and scalable user experiences. This is a highly cross-functional role: you’ll work closely with PMs, engineers, and leaders not just in SF, but across our Paris and LatAm hubs. You’ll play a central role in connecting the dots between product surfaces and geographies — helping your team make better, more informed decisions.

What you'll do

  • Manage and grow a high-performing SF-based design team — supporting their craft, career development, and impact

  • Oversee design for our Core Product, Chat, Knowledge Base, and Design Systems pods — while partnering closely with global peers to align across the product

  • Partner with PMs and engineers to shape product strategy, roadmap direction, and ensure successful execution

  • Set a high bar for visual, interaction, and systems design — and guide your team in meeting it

  • Give clear, actionable feedback that sharpens the work and elevates outcomes

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, design excellence, and fast, iterative problem-solving

  • Help scale our design org — from improving hiring and onboarding to evolving our design reviews, systems, and rituals

  • Advocate for users and design quality in product and org-level decisions

You have...

  • 7+ years of product design experience, with 3+ years managing designers (including senior ICs)

  • Experience shipping B2B or technical products with high expectations for UX and visual polish

  • A strong product sense — you can help shape the “what,” not just the “how”

  • A sharp eye for craft and systems, and a clear POV on what makes great design

  • Experience giving principled, actionable feedback that grows designers and improves outcomes

  • Confidence navigating ambiguity and driving alignment across multiple teams

  • A collaborative leadership style — you’re excited to partner with peers in Paris, LatAm, and across time zones to deliver cohesive product experiences

  • Comfort managing distributed design teams and influencing work bey
