POSITION VISION
Perform an array of forklift functions with a primary focus on inventory management and systematic chain of custody.  Assist the Night Crew Manager with ensuring accuracy and efficiency of selection replenishment and outbound auditing and loading. Responsible for safety compliance and the overall cleanliness of the warehouse.

QUANTIFIABLE POSITION OBJECTIVES:

1. Reports to work on time wearing a clean WBD approved safety apparel.
2. Perform physical and virtual product moves into primary selection locations using a tablet
3. Proper stacking is required.
4. Ensures proper date code rotation is maintained in warehouse and pick area.
5. Pick up damaged cases and move to breakage.
6. Ensure shrink wrap is removed from pallets.
7. Must be willing and able with proper training to perform loading, auditing, and perform any back up functions for warehouse personnel as needed.
8. Maintains a safe working environment by removing pallets, shrink-wrap and keeping floors swept and scrubbed.

MINIMUM/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Education:    
  • Minimum:    High school diploma or GED                                                                                                                                                                      Must be able to read, write and comprehend English and have basic math skills
  • Preferred:    
• Skills:    
  • Minimum:    Must be certified in forklift, walkie rider, electric pallet jack and floor scrubber
  • Preferred:    
• Experience:    
  • Minimum:    Warehouse and forklift experience and material handling
  • Preferred:    Experience in material handling or beverage distribution

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and stack, 1 case of can (21 pounds), 1 case of 12oz bottles (38 pounds), 1 case of 40 oz bottles (48 pounds) and½ barrels weighting 175 pounds 3 feet off the ground; stand; use hands to finger, handle and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.    

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS
All work is performed inside the confines of the warehouse except for pulling trucks in and out of the warehouse. Exposure to broken glass and diesel fumes.
 

    ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
    Preferred a valid, clean NYS driver’s license that is acceptable to our insurance carrier. This person will be required to job share responsibilities and fill in for delivery assistant/helper as needed.
