Position Purpose:

Working within Revenue Management, this role will work closely and collaboratively across functions (Independent sales, marketing, field operations, contract administration, as well as senior and executive leaders) to analyze and prepare financially significant sales proposals within the National Account Unit.  This role will also support Revenue Management leadership in governing pricing & contracting, ensure proper and timely approvals are in place, creation and maintenance of pricing tools, and evaluation of contract redline requests.  

Key Job Activities:

•    Evaluate sales proposal economics and provide pricing governance.
•    Lead proposal development of financially impacting sales proposals and coordinate pricing strategy sessions with Commercial Leadership which includes team members from Independent Sales teams, Sales Operations, Marketing, , Finance and Transportation.
•    Evaluate deal pricing structures to ensure fit with company objectives. Effectively evaluate deal economics of trade-offs between price and incremental account penetration
•    Complete or recommend pricing on large (including multi-site) or complex sales opportunities; communicate structured rationale for the pricing of each deal.
•    Lead effort to compile analytical data to drive decisions 
•    Provide regular and ad hoc pricing analysis and reporting for Revenue Management leadership.
•    Maintain and organize baseline price information, analyze and report on inconsistencies, and identify opportunities to optimize sales and profitability through offer strategies and updates to pricing tools.
•    Ownership of pricing tools
•    Responsible for creation, development, distribution, and maintenance of both offline and online pricing tools for Independent sales teams
•    Assist Revenue Management leadership in monitoring and managing pricing approvals for all Independent customers.
•    Provide regular training and feedback sessions with Independent sales teams to gain insights and recommendations to improve pricing tools.
•    Audit new contracts for National account customers as they are received from Sales
•    Evaluate requested contract redlines or customer term requests and ensure proper approvals are given according to the corporate Delegation of Authority
•    Edit contract revisions per guidance and approval from legal
•    Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
 

Education:

Preferred Education: in Bachelors or Equivalent

Experience (North America & LATAM):

•    Education equivalent to Bachelor’s degree, with emphasis in Accounting/Finance, or Business or the equivalent in related work experience.
•    Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in pricing, financial analysis, or similar experience.
•    Demonstrates strong analytical (quantitative and qualitative) and problem-solving skills.  Must be able to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports and projections. Must be able to effectively present financial information and analysis to management and Sales leadership.
•    Excellent computer skills required.  Requires expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, working knowledge of Microsoft SQL, and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Power Point.
•    Experience with Salesforce.com-embedded  Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) tools preferred.
•    Excellent math skills and strong attention to detail are required to be successful in this position.
•    Demonstrates knowledge of contracting.
•    Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
