Position Overview:
Under direct supervision, the Ultra Low Volume (ULV) Spray Truck Driver performs safe and effective applications of mosquito control products. Individuals in this role will be responsible for operating ULV spray trucks, applying control measures for mosquitoes and larvae, monitoring environmental and equipment conditions, and accurately recording pesticide usage. The position follows a part-time, seasonal schedule during peak mosquito activity and high disease transmission months (May–October).
The ULV Driver requires knowledge of pesticide handling and safety, vehicle operation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Mosquito Control: Applies insecticides using truck-mounted Ultra Low Volume (ULV) spray equipment through assigned areas at night. Responsibilities include entering data into ULV monitoring systems, implementing control measures for adult mosquitoes and mosquito larvae, and assisting with loading chemicals onto trucks as needed.
- Equipment Monitoring: Monitors environmental and equipment conditions during insecticidal applications to ensure precise and effective delivery of materials.
- Compliance and Reporting: Applies pesticides in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines, and accurately documents all usage.
