Handling tax in such a large, sophisticated organization takes more than just a technical understanding of current tax practices. As a Property Tax Manager, we’ll look to you to apply your knowledge to a wide range of tax areas and processes, devising strategic outcomes to some very complex issues. Your key responsibilities

You’ll spend much of your time supporting client engagements by coordinating day-to-day interactions with clients, reviewing staff work product, driving delivery of services to meet deadlines, developing internal team members, and managing engagement economics. You’ll continuously build on your technical competence by keeping up to date on trends, developments and legislation that impact our clients.  

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Demonstrate an understanding of complex commercial real and personal property tax concepts and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations
  • Develop and deliver quality tax planning approaches with timely and responsive services and work products that exceed client expectations
  • Identify and offer opportunities for tax planning and other special services
  • Prepare quality, practical approaches to the client's tax situation and arrive at appropriate conclusions

 

To qualify for the role, you must have 

  • A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant property tax consulting experience or equivalent experience in business or industry
  • CPA or JD
  • Broad exposure to state and local taxation
  • Excellent managerial, organizational, analytical and verbal/written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environment

 

Ideally, you’ll also have 

  • A proven record in a professional services environment
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring junior colleagues
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  What we offer   We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $104,100 to $190,700. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $124,900 to $216,700. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
