Director of Innovation Pilots

Salary Range:

Grade 15, exempt, remote $106,622.53 - $149,271.53 per fiscal year, commensurate with experience.

Job Description Summary:

This position will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and evaluation of pilot programs for a diverse portfolio of Sourcewell solutions. This position contributes to the success of product evaluations, improves product readiness, and gathers valuable insights from pilot initiatives.

Job Description:

Essential Duties:

Pilot program planning and management

• Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of pilot programs for a variety of solutions, ensuring alignment with Sourcewell's goals and objectives

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define proof points, pilot objectives, scope, and success criteria

• Identify and select suitable pilot sites or participants, considering factors such as geography, demographics, and educational settings

• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for each pilot program

• Lead the onboarding process for pilot participants, providing training and necessary resources

Data collection and analysis and reporting

• Coordinate regular check-in meetings with pilot sites and internal key players

• Design suitable set of data collection tools for each project based on customized proof points

• Collect feedback and data for evaluation

• Analyze pilot data and prepare comprehensive reports, highlighting key insights and recommendations

• Analyze pilot data to derive meaningful insights

• Produce and present final pilot summary reports

Stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement

• Collaborate with the Sourcewell team to refine products based on pilot findings and contribute to product improvement

• Ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the pilot process

• Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet project goals and deadlines

Tasks & Deliverables

Develop detailed pilot plans for Sourcewell innovation concepts to include Grants Hub, Cyber Security, Fractional Services, Metier, IT Governance, ILT, and other concepts that emerge.

Plans will include:

Target pilot agency description – size, geographic location

• Proof points with success criteria

• Suitable set of data collection tools for each project based on customized proof points

• Onboarding plan

• Focus groups and/or qualitative interviews

• Timeline

• Budget if applicable

• Responsibility matrix

Pilot recruitment for above projects

• Communicate with potential pilot sites

• Create and present pilot overview presentation

• Create and execute pilot agreement documents

Manage the pilots

• Lead the onboarding process for pilot participants, providing training and necessary resources

• Coordinate regular check-in meetings with pilot sites and internal key players

• Collect feedback and data for evaluation

• Provide regular status updates to Solution Owners

Prepare and present final reports for each pilot

• Internal Sourcewell report for Solution Development that highlighting key insights and recommendations

• Pilot participant summary report

Additional Job Description:

• Management of teams in a dynamic innovation environment (or something around management experience)

• Experience conducting focus groups, developing customer satisfaction surveys, interpreting, and summarizing customer/user feedback
