Job Description:

This engineer position will be building next generation solutions and capabilities for our new RPA platform for our retirement business using the Blue Prism platform.   Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, programming and maintaining software automation solutions used in local, networked, cloud-based or Internet related application environments.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading, designing, and delivering RPA solutions in accordance with SS&C Blue Prism standards and best practices. You will work closely together with our enthusiastic team of both business and technical specialists. You will be part of a fast-growing and successful team that helps our clients get the maximum benefit from software automation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver external and internal automation projects. Building automations which are delivered on time, within budget and per the agreed specifications
• Accountable for the quality of automation solutions and client experience on assigned projects
• Lead and define, design and develop production automation solutions for our clients using Blue Prism.  Development activities will may also include developing POCs and pilot projects
• Involved in identification and development of internal automation opportunities
• Participate in new product release testing and enablement
• Lead and participate in User Acceptance Testing and defect resolution
• Develop and share development best practices with customers, partners, and all stakeholders within the Retirement Solutions organization
• Deliver client and partner Knowledge Share workshops
• Participate in multiple development projects simultaneously when required
• Ability to work within a fast-paced environment as a part of a team to support the automation digital workers
• Monitor production environments and respond to system exceptions. Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve reported support issues with high quality fixes in a timely manner
• Interact and participate in discussions shaping Cloud development Guidelines (Standards and Best Practices) and automation designs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of work-related experience; or Master’s degree and 1 year of work-related experience; or 5 years of equivalent work-related experience
• Mastered one or more of the leading RPA Tools:  Blue Prism or Blue Prism Cloud, UiPath
• Proficiency in designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions
• Developed and supported several successful end-to-end automated solutions
• Prefer at least 1 Blue Prism certification (Blue Prism AD01)
• Knowledge of Blue Prism technical infrastructure
• Any prior work or academic experience with Document management and processing tools (e.g. Kofax, ABBYY, Vidado) and integration of OCR with Blue Prism
• Cloud Infrastructure experience
• Experience learning new open-source software such as POSTMAN, APIs, and frameworks
• Working experience in Web services, OleDB , Code stages, Macro in Blue Prism Projects
• Hands on experience in ticketing tools such as JIRA, Confluence.
• Hands-on knowledge in the field of Microsoft office tools. Specifically – Excel, Access, Macro automation, and other general office applications
• Reasonable proficiency in Microsoft Office Visio or other equivalent process flow-charting or workflow-based logic tool
• Programming/Development experience of any of the following: C#, Java, Javascript, Web Services,  HTML or .Net, Shell Scripting, Python
• Relational Database experience with any of the following: SQL, MySQL, or Oracle
• Working in an agile environment using Scrum
• A passion for continuous learning as well as the ability to learn quickly and apply new skills
• Flexibility and ability to be proactive, possesses good problem solving skills and the capability to find solutions and the ability to successfully meet deadlines
