Job Overview

To lead and manage the Dealing department in Cyprus and report to the Board of Directors. Ensure proper execution of trades. Analyse clients' trading patterns and detect any abusing trading strategies. Ensure compliant departmental procedures and practices in accordance with market regulations.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage business critical real-time trading systems in order to identify issues and problem areas
• Ensure the smooth running of the firm’s trading and execution systems using in-house proprietary software applications and tools
• Carrying out trade surveillance and monitoring for transactions
• Constant interaction with development, quant research and operations technology teams
• Develop tools/scripts to facilitate daily operations
• Responsible for monitoring the risk functions from the P&L
• Partner with IT on systems enhancements in terms of an automatic monitoring solutions
• Implement new systems and configuration updates for the purpose of trading operations, risk management and new markets/product launches
• Testing of software releases, upgrades and applications as part of the trading system
• Assisting in the training of relevant staff to ensure continuing competence in accordance with the CySEC regulations
• Control the trade processing to the clearing firm accurately and efficiently and liaise with them to resolve any trade discrepancies
• Assisting with reconciliations, fund and balance settlements on accounts at the end of the day
• Troubleshooting a variety of trading issues and liaising with appropriate teams where necessary to ensure their resolution
• Providing the Company’s management and employees with information related to the market and to the expertise of the dealing desk
  

Supervisor Responsibilities

• Setup and implementation of KPI policy and framework for the trading desk department
• Completing probation and annual reviews
• Recruitment of new employees and ensuring optimal staffing levels
• Reporting trading desk performance to the Global Head of Dealing, board, and risk committee
• Helping other areas of the business, as appropriate including all requests from the Global Head of Dealing or board
• Creating and sending department’s weekly report to management
• Creating and delivering department’s monthly report
• Escalating complex cases to management as and when required
• Oversight of the trading operation aspects of the business

Requirements

• Degree in Economics, Mathematics, or any other relevant field
• At least 7+ years of experience in a managerial dealing role within a Forex/Fintech industry is a must
• Fluency in English is a must
• Holder of CySEC Advanced Certificate is a must
• Knowledge of MT4 and MT5 or any other platform
• Knowledge of financial markets (CFDs, futures, options, stocks) and particularly forex
• Knowledge of technical and fundamental analysis
• Knowledge of the most widespread customer trading techniques
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Advanced skills in Excel or any other reporting platform
• Ability to lead a team of professionals including remote teams
