Grainger Corporate Services LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Lake Forest, IL with the following requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field plus 3 years related experience. Prior experience must include: Incorporate Snyk scans on application images and code using GitHub actions to automatically scan critical vulnerabilities and report to the slack channel; Migrate applications from Apache Kafka to exercise Confluent Kafka for a complete, fully managed, cloud-native data streaming experience; Participate in re-platforming legacy applications into a cloud-hosted Microservices suite using Rest APIs, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and AWS and integrate Apache Kafka into existing microservices architecture to allow event-driven data flow; Design, develop, implement, and test detailed applications and modules using various tools and technologies including C#, VB#, Angular JS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Rest APIs, SQL, ADO, Perl,PowerShell, etc. under multiple operating systems; Utilized wide variety of enterprise tools to enhance data connectivity, code versioning and continuous integration for new and existing applications and analyzed and monitored the client applications and system logs using Dynatrace and Splunk.100% remote work allowed from anywhere in the U.S. Up to 20% domestic travel required.
