Senior Accountant

 

Our company is looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team. This role operates in a fast-paced environment where they will perform duties and responsibilities to ensure that the company's financial records are properly documented and recorded on a timely basis.   Duties include:

• Developing and recording journal entries for several multi million dollar business units, including both revenue and cost entries
• Analyzing monthly sales and expense variations to budget
• Assisting in annual budget process
• Analyzing and reconciling balance sheet accounts
• Maintaining fixed asset and depreciation schedules
• Preparation of indirect tax returns
• Assisting with quarterly and annual financial audit requests, both internal and external
• Ad hoc projects, as necessary

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 3-4 years of accounting experience
• Strong analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills
• Strong PC skills with proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects and assignments. Good time management skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills; will be expected to work closely with other departments to gather necessary information
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, assume responsibility, display initiative and exercise good judgment
