Job Summary
The Team Lead is responsible to lead the day-to-day operation of the onsite SOW related to customer requirements for smaller customer locations. The Team Lead supports and leads a small team of VWR on-site personnel acting as a single point of contact for the customer. The Team Lead is typically dedicated to one customer, one site location, and reports to a manager. Much of the time is spent performing the work of those supervised.At Avantor, people are the most important part of our success because they drive our global performance. In this role, you will report to the Site Services Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

What we’re looking for
Education:
A high school diploma or GED is required.
An associate's degree or an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a business or science-related field is preferred.
Experience:
Experience in purchasing, account management, and customer service is required.
1–4 years of supervisor or leadership experience is also required.
Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License and Reliable Transportation
Proven time management, forecasting knowledge, and/or expediting experience.
Ability to work independently and optimally prioritize multiple challenging tasks.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong presentation skills.
Solid written and verbal communication skills

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:
Coordinate and leads team efforts and performs work provided in SOW (Statement of Work) related to customer requirements. This involves ensuring that the team is effectively executing tasks outlined in the SOW to meet customer expectations.
Coach and motivates employees to successfully perform job requirements and to meet or exceed goals and objectives. This includes providing guidance and support to team members to help them achieve their tasks and performance targets.
Manage open order status reports, metrics, and department reports. This responsibility includes monitoring and reporting on the progress of orders and department performance, ensuring that they align with established metrics and standards.
Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Standard Performance Indicators (SPIs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This entails creating, updating, and ensuring compliance with these critical documents to streamline operations and measure performance.
