The Impact U will make:
- Report to our Head of Vertical
- Commit to your team's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion goals created in our DEI Unqork Application
- Utilize your understanding of the government sales cycle, paths to procurement, and deal orchestration to lead successful client engagements from inception to closure.
- Assess potential clients within the government sector, understand their unique requirements, and lead the process of crafting solutions that address their specific needs and deliver exceptional value.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Partners, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing, to develop effective strategies for client engagement and deal progression.
- Practice good Salesforce hygiene providing regular updates on sales pipeline, deal progress, and forecasts to align with strategic goals and drive collective success.
- Actively participate in government/industry organizations such as ACT-IAC, ATARC, AFCEA, to stay abreast of industry trends, build valuable relationships, and identify new business opportunities.
- Utilize various tools like GovWin, G2Xchange, Orange Slices, FPDS.gov, SAM.gov, to gather comprehensive deal intelligence and identify potential leads.
- Network and attend conferences/events to foster meaningful relationships with industry professionals, influencing deal progression and increasing PWIN
What U bring:
- 4+ years of experience working with government clients
- Based in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area, with the flexibility to travel occasionally for client engagements and industry events.
- Proven track record and experience selling to the government and demonstrating your ability to navigate the government procurement landscape successfully.
- Strong leadership skills and an entrepreneurial mindset, driving innovation and success within the public sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of the government sales cycle, paths to procurement, and complex deal orchestration.
- Understand the value of codeless and what it means for government modernization.
- Active participation in government/industry organizations such as ACT-IAC, ATARC, AFCEA, or similar, with a strong network of connections within the public sector.
- Proficiency in using tools like GovWin, G2Xchange, Orange Slices, FPDS.gov, SAM.gov, to gather and analyze deal intelligence.
- Comfortable with networking and attending conferences/events to build and maintain meaningful relationships that drive deal progression and increased PWIN.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts effectively.
