HP Workstations is seeking a highly accomplished and influential engineer to join the Workstations Technical Marketing team. This role sits at the core of HP’s high‑performance, AI‑enabling workstation portfolio, partnering with the world’s leading technology companies Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to define and deliver differentiated performance for the most demanding professional workflows.
The Technical Marketing ISV Lead & Performance Engineer is an Principal‑level technical leader and individual contributor esponsible for shaping the strategy and execution of ISV engagement, workstation performance engineering, and technical workflow storytelling across the organization. his role applies deep systems expertise to define performance methodologies, guide ISV technical alignment, and translate complex system behavior into authoritative, industry‑credible proof points that influence product direction, go‑to‑market strategy, and customer adoption. This position operates with a high degree autonomy and is recognized as a domain expert, providing technical leadership across organizations and influencing decisions through expertise, data, and industry insight.
Key Responsibilities:
Engagement & Strategic Leadership
Define and lead ISV technical engagement strategy across key segments (AEC, PD&M, M&E, AI/Data Science), aligning HP platforms with evolving software requirements and industry trends.
Build and maintain executive and senior technical relationships with strategic ISV partners, influencing roadmaps, alignment, and joint value creation.
Serve as the primary technical authority and escalation point between ISV-related performance, certification and integration challenges across the organization.
Drive alignment between ISV needs, product capabilities, and go-to-market priorities to maximize business impact.
Performance Engineering & Systems Analysis
Define and evolve performance benchmarking strategies, methodologies, and standards used across the Workstations organization.
Lead analysis of complex system performance across CPU, GPU, memory, storage, power, and thermals, identifying cross-platform insights and long-term optimization opportunities.
Ensure that all performance data and methodologies are technically rigorous, repeatable, and externally defensible, serving as the source of truth for internal and external stakeholders.
Influence product and platform decisions by providing system-level insights, tradeoffs, and recommendations based on deep technical analysis.
Technical Marketing & Documentation
Translate complex engineering insights into compelling, industry‑leading technical narratives that articulate HP’s differentiation across workflows and verticals.
Define and guide the creation of demo strategies, technical content, and workflow storytelling frameworks used across sales, marketing, and partner ecosystems.
Represent HP as a recognized technical leader at industry events, customer briefings, partner engagements, and executive discussions.
Drive the alignment of performance messaging across product, marketing, and sales to ensure consistency and credibility at scale.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and influence cross-functional initiatives spanning Engineering, Product Management, GTM, Sales Enablement, and Partner Ecosystems.
Provide technical leadership across multiple teams, guiding direction, reviewing work, and mentoring engineers and contributors.
Drive complex, ambiguous initiatives requiring cross-domain expertise, strategic thinking, and organizational alignment.
Act as a key contributor to shaping the technical direction and priorities of the Workstations Technical Marketing organization.
Impact & Scope
Impacts organizational and business outcomes at scale, influencing product strategy, partner alignment, and go‑to‑market effectiveness.
Owns highly complex, ambiguous problem spaces requiring deep expertise, innovation, and strategic judgment.
