Lonestar Electric Supply and its subsidiaries are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for providing accurate financial information to support the company's operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be able to work independently, and have a passion for numbers. 

Responsibilities: 

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. 
• Assist in the monthly and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations. 
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies. 
• Review and process accounts payable and receivable as needed. 
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. 
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support and analysis.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field. 
• At least 1 year of experience in accounting. 
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices. 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required infrequently. 
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
