Job Description

As a Security Guard - Retail Patrol Driver in Vancouver, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a dynamic retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service to everyone you encounter. You will interact with visitors, guests, and staff, offering assistance and clear communication as needed. This position requires you to drive as part of your patrol duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or maintenance needs within the location.
• Communicate with management, employees, and visitors to address questions or concerns related to security-related matters.
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner as directed by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
