Job Summary:
The Senior Underwriting Operations Supervisor will oversee daily operations and provide guidance to a team responsible for all aspects of the inspection process. This role supports operational workflows and ensures compliance with company policies and carrier standards. While this position does not involve underwriting policies, it plays a critical role in verifying that the risk aligns with the underwriter's assessment and ensuring compliance with carrier guidelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, with a focus on supporting team success and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of a team overseeing all aspects of the inspection process to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Provide guidance, support, and troubleshooting for team members to address operational challenges.
- Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance team efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor team performance and provide feedback to ensure adherence to quality standards and deadlines.
- Enforce operational policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate and collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting and cancellations, to maintain workflow consistency.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and changes in regulatory requirements that may impact inspection processes.
- Maintain records and documentation to ensure data integrity and compliance for audit purposes.
- Support the training and onboarding of new team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
Work Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in insurance operations, inspection processing, or a related area.
