Our Health Engineering Solutions team works side by side with customers to articulate a vision for success, and then make it happen. We know success doesn't happen by accident. It takes the right team of people, working together on the right solutions for the customer. We are looking for a seasoned Program Manager to be part of a large, multi-contractor project for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This role is critical in managing the development and implementation of a state-of-the-art software system designed to enhance CMS's operational efficiency and service delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of 20+ professionals, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within scope and budget, while meeting all government and stakeholder expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing phases of a software development project for CMS
- Manage a team of 20+ software development professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
- Utilize Scrum and SAFe methodologies to ensure agile and efficient project management practices
- Coordinate closely with CMS stakeholders and other contractor teams to ensure alignment, while addressing any issues or concerns promptly
- Ensure comprehensive project documentation is maintained, including project plans, roadmaps, progress reports, and risk assessments
- Implement effective communication strategies to keep all stakeholders informed of project status and developments
- Oversee the project budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and financial objectives are met
- Utilize expertise in software development to guide the project team and contribute to technical discussions
- Conduct regular project reviews and retrospectives to assess progress and identify areas for improvement
- Take proactive steps to mitigate project risks and resolve issues as they arise.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in project management
- A minimum of 5 years leading software development projects
- 5 years' experience managing teams of 20 or more
- Bachelor’s degree
- Must have resided in the United States 3 of the last 5 years.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust clearance
- Must reside in the US, be authorized to work in the US, and work must be performed in the US.
Preferred Qualification:
- Strong familiarity with Scrum and SAFe agile methodologies; certification is preferred
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services
- Excellent organizational, management, and leadership skills, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with government stakeholders and other contractor teams in a multi-contractor environment.
- Proficiency in planning, monitoring, and ensuring the delivery of all project requirements.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Well-tuned, interpersonal skills
- Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary
- Experience in the government contracting environment is highly desirable.
- Experience managing Healthcare or related IT projects is desirable.
