Job Description

The Production Planner is a key member of the high performing team that is bringing advanced lithium-ion batteries to market along with developing the proprietary manufacturing system to produce this product. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining 24m’s production schedule on multiple pilot and R&D assembly lines.  24m’s engineering development programs are fast paced, requiring the person in this role to move quickly and confidently to enable colleagues with the resources required to efficiently, effectively, and safely meet corporate goals.  Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to expand technical, product, and process knowledge are key to successful candidate, as well as a strong work ethic and attention to detail. The role will report to the Manager, EHS & Operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility for developing, maintaining, and communicating a detailed product development and production schedule for pilot and R&D cell build lines
  • Own weekly communication of pilot and R&D build schedules to the company
  • Improve hand off of cell build designs from product to operations and operations engineering
  • Review bills of materials for product assembly campaigns against available materials inventory to assess readiness and flag material risks
  • Monitor materials supply flow, leading procurement of critical raw materials to maintain adequate inventory levels
  • Collaborate with supervisor to align multiple stakeholder requirements with corporate milestones by identifying and taking advantage of opportunities for efficient scheduling of pilot line resources
  • Work closely with operational and engineering leaders for multiple process areas to understand workflows and adjacencies in the 24m process
  • Provide regular, easy to understand progress updates on campaign and engineering programs against corporate milestones
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years directly related work experience in production planning or technical operations management.  Highly qualified and motivated candidates with less experience will be considered
  • Lithium-ion manufacturing experience preferred
  • Demonstrated history of meticulous attention to detail, ability to adapt quickly and efficiently
  • Comfortable collaborating across a rapidly growing organization, driving communication with stakeholders who often have competing priorities
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.  Exercises good time management and prioritization skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Additional Information

Physical and Environmental Standards: 

  • Capable of working in low moisture dry room environment: < 1.0% Relative Humidity (-50°C dew point)
  • Capable of wearing clean room attire when working in dry room environment: face mask, hair net, safety glasses, gloves, coverall suit and shoe covers
  • Capable of meeting OSHA standards for manual lifting guidelines: < 50lbs
