Primary Function
The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing all security operations within a detention facility, ensuring the safety of detainees, staff, and visitors while maintaining strict compliance with federal standards and facility protocols. This role leads the security team, manages incident response, and coordinates with officials and law enforcement to uphold a secure and humane environment.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement facility-wide security protocols in alignment with Performance-Based National Detention Standards (PBNDS).
Supervise perimeter control, access points, surveillance systems, and internal movement of detainees.
Lead emergency response planning, drills, and incident investigations.
Monitor and evaluate daily security activities, ensuring readiness and accountability.
Recruit, train, and supervise armed and unarmed security personnel.
Conduct performance evaluations and ensure staff compliance with use-of-force policies and ethical conduct.
Provide ongoing training in de-escalation, defensive tactics, and emergency procedures.
Maintain detailed records of incidents, disciplinary actions, and security audits.
Prepare reports for officials, facility leadership, and external inspectors.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and contractual regulations.
Serve as primary point of contact for officers and law enforcement agencies.
Coordinate detainee escorts, court transports, and high-risk movements.
Collaborate with medical, administrative, and logistics teams to support secure operations.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in correctional, detention, or law enforcement security management.
